Medical Dental Ministry

We have partnered annually with Baptist On Mission to provided free dental services in the Franklinton Area. Services were provided at Franklinton Baptist Church on Saturday, May 31. Three dentists and nine support personnel served over 20 patients in our local community. The main focus of this outreach was to alleviate dental pain by providing tooth extractions and fillings. Over 20 teeth were pulled, and 15 fillings were drilled in 8 hours. Many church members volunteered their time to set up and break down tables, greet patients, fill out medical paperwork, take blood pressures, pray with patients and provide breakfast and lunch to volunteers. Prayer requests included housing for a patient living out of a car, peace for patients with fears about their future in this country, and health issues. Please keep these patients and our volunteers in your prayers as we begin planning for the 2026 event.

Take what you need, leave what you can, above all be blessed!

What is a blessing box?

A blessing box is a ministry that serves the community by giving easy access to goods such as non-perishable food and hygiene products and functions on a “take what you need, leave what you can” system. The box is completely stocked by donations so that the community may be blessed by the generosity of others. Our box was established in July of 2017.

“I’ve always had a heart for others ever since, as a little girl, I gave a gift bag donation to a boy who was in my class at school. That made a deep impression to me and I’ve carried it my entire life.”
- Jodi Bowman

Food Ministries

There are three separate FBC groups that offer food ministries to the community.

A perishable food pickup and distribution from the church on the third Sunday of every month after morning worship.

A Panera Bread pickup every Friday, repackaged and available at the church for members to use or distribute.

A pizza pickup and distribution from local pizzerias to the needy neighborhoods of Franklinton.

  • Pray God will help him learn the Hindi language.
  • Pray he will abide in Christ well (John 15:5).
  • Pray for national partners and friends to partner with him in proclaiming the gospel.
  • Pray for the local team to be unified.
