Dr. Richard Childress
Pastor
Our pastor is a dedicated servant of God. Coming to us from an extensive background in Pastoral ministry, he holds a BA degree from Carson Newman University, an MDiv from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Childress affirms his beliefs as follows: “The most important part of my faith is the knowledge that there is nothing that I can do to earn the love of God as it is a gift, paid through the death and bodily resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. Upon receipt of the gift of salvation, I am determined to follow the example of Jesus Christ set before me. My faith in Jesus Christ is my focal point and all personal and professional decisions I make in life must filter through this focal point.”
